Ripples of practice
Working in a community model, through the collaborations with individuals nearby and far, we wish to create and maintain a community of ongoing healing. We are here to watch, listen, and be present as nonjudgmental witnesses of each other’s authenticity. This is maintained through deep respect of the unique gifts every individual has to offer, the lessons we benefit from our ancestors, and the co-creation of a future rooted in acceptance, cooperation, and trust.

Arts and Crafts Therapy acknowledges that we are taking up space on land that has been cared for by the Original Beings of Turtle Island for tens of thousands of years. Among the caretakers of the land include the Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee, Wendat, Mississaugas, and the Chippewas Peoples. This land continues to be the subject of Treaty 13 and the Williams Treaties. Since time immemorial, Indigenous Peoples of Turtle Island had travelled, rested, stayed along this region before colonizers took this land. Soon after, settlers started to arrive and call this their home without consultation or consensus from the Original Peoples of the land.
Arts and Crafts Therapy is committed to continue learning the truth and reconcile with all those who have been harmed by colonization. We are determined to walk the right path alongside with all First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples and Mother Earth in a good way moving forward.
